The Canelé Times is a fan-created newspaper that serves Rosy Zhao and her fan community around the world.
Guided by our news judgment, we report everything Rosy. Our editorial decisions — what, when and how we report things — are determined by news value, timing and availability of information and resources. Whenever possible, we interview community members and use currently available information to complete a story.
-
Factual reporting remains our top priority, and we believe that most content we use fall under the fair use doctrine. Visual assets shared by Rosy and the Rosy Studio are therefore considered fair use for reporting purposes.

Unless otherwise stated, all work produced by The Canelé Times is protected by the CC BY-NC-ND 4.0 license internationally. This means that you are free to share our content as long as you give credit to us, but you may not use our work commercially or make derivatives or adaptations.

In many cases, we purchase assets from online marketplaces and work with outside vendors; these assets are usually covered by a limited-scope license agreement. You may not use such content unless you receive express approval by the original copyright owner(s). We will specify these arrangements in the caption.

Consistent style is key to professional reporting, especially when content is frequently translated among languages. Our writing is guided by a set of editorial style guidelines. For example, we refer to Rosy Zhao as Rosy on first reference, because we believe that our primary audience is Rosy’s fans. But in stories with a high public relations value, we may refer to her as Rosy Zhao on first reference and Zhao on second and subsequent references — this is more in line with industry standards (when the audience is less likely to know who she is).
